|The 2012 Exhibition will mark our 5th Anniversary – a fabulous opening night is planned, new, exciting highlights and fabulous art awards. The total funds raised for our charities from the previous four events is now over $142,000! We continue to thank our fabulous Artists, Volunteers, Sponsors and Supporters for providing Bayside a weekend celebrating the Visual Arts, amazing community spirit and fundraising. Come see the diverse artworks for sale! Come hear the amazing buskers all weekend – including students from Hampton Primary School, St Leanard’s College and Bayside’s very own Pete Pascoe!||
Over 100 emerging, mid career and professional exhibiting Artists this year! The Opening Night highlights include the presentation of an Arts Prize to an exhibiting breast cancer survivor. Many survivors exhibit with us and one of these wonderful Artists will receive an award to encourage their arts practice. Other highlights include auction items, wine, nibbles and the fabulous “Two’s Company” performing live on stage!
Hosting our Opening Night will be broadcaster and journalist Beverley O’Connor, and a few extra special artworks will be available by “live auction”, donated by some of Australia’s most talented and revered professional Artists. We are delighted to announce that one such artwork has been donated by award winning Artist, Debra Luccio … her beautiful Monotype ‘Spanish Dancer in New York 2′ – its printed on Velin Arches cotton rag paper, is 89x70cm, and museum quality mounted and framed – further information and prior email bids to firstname.lastname@example.org accepted!

New – Photographic Installation – ENTER TODAY!
Be part of ‘Intimate Exposure’ – a beautiful installation that will feature statements and photographs of female breasts. It will be housed in a separate exhibition room at the Town Hall and is aimed to lift the shroud of secrecy around breast cancer surgery and imperfect breasts. The National Breast Cancer Foundation
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) funds all forms of research into the prevention and cure of breast cancer. Its symbol is the ‘pink ribbon’ and it relies on community fundraising.
For the 2012 exhibition we will look to raise money for a specific medical research program.

FIVE is the symbol of luck, and in Chinese Philosophy the number 5 is associated with the five elements – earth, wood, fire, water and metal – the event will entwine these harmonious elements!
